Westmalle Tripel

Complex and balanced Tripel

Westmalle Tripel is a clear, yellowy golden Trappist beer containing 9.5% alcohol. The slow brewing process and secondary fermentation in the bottle produce a complex beer that has a fruity aroma of ripe banana and a lovely nuanced hop nose. The soft and creamy flavour, with its bitter note carried by the fruit aroma, is full of finesse and elegance. Also enjoy the deliciously long, dry finish.

Beer connoisseurs call Westmalle Tripel the “mother of all tripels” as the first Tripel ever was brewed inside our abbey walls in 1934.

Our Trappist beer carries the international Authentic Trappist Product label. Read what that means here.
