New & temporary: Westmalle Duo – Blond on draught!
For the first time, we are bringing a blonde beer exclusively on draught: Westmalle Duo. This unique blend of Westmalle Tripel and Extra combines the fresh, thirst-quenching character of Extra with the full-bodied flavour of Tripel. The result? A fruity, balanced and accurately hopped beer of 7.2% alcohol that is at its best on draught. Only 5,000 barrels available – don’t miss out!

Discover the new Westmalle Extra glass!
Because the Westmalle Extra, with its lower alcohol content, deserves its own glass, we are introducing a specially designed one. Not a traditional chalice glass, but a modern conical design inspired by the original glasses from the 1920s and 1930s. For all details and to order the glass, read on!

Step into our brewery
Our brewery is very modern, yet completely adapted to the traditional brewing process. At Westmalle, we aim to achieve a balance between innovation and tradition. We use the latest techniques but still want to see, test and taste everything for ourselves.
The brewery is located within the walls of the Trappist abbey. The monks set policy and oversee its implementation. They use the income to live on and to reinvest in the brewery. Surplus profits are shared with other Cistercian abbeys and donated to charitable causes.

Vandaag is het Wereldboekendag — een goed moment om stil te staan bij verhalen die je niet zomaar tegenkomt.
In onze webshop vind je een bijzonder boek over de abdij van Westmalle. Voor wie ons bier graag drinkt, maar ook benieuwd is naar het leven achter de muren waar het allemaal begon. Wat gebeurt daar? Wie zijn de broeders? En hoe hangt dat samen met het karakter van ons trappistenbier?
‘Abdij-Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van het Heilig Hart van Westmalle’ bundelt 45 korte hoofdstukken van broeder Guerric Aerden. Met unieke foto`s uit het dagelijkse leven in de abdij, en tekst in het Nederlands, Frans en Engels — allemaal in één uitgave.
Voor wie niet alleen wil proeven, maar ook meer wil begrijpen van wat Westmalle zo eigen maakt.

🐣 Zijn de paasklokken ook bij jou langsgekomen?
Met een mandje vol chocolade misschien?
Bij ons wel – en dat komt goed uit, want chocolade en Westmalle Dubbel zijn een gouden duo. De zachte bitterheid en de karameltoetsen van Dubbel passen heerlijk bij pure chocolade.
Fijne Pasen gewenst! Hopelijk met goed gezelschap, wat lekkers op tafel en een Westmalle in het glas. 🍫🍺

Sommige dingen zijn gewoon beter met twee. 🍻 Een stevige fietstocht en een zonnig terras. Een blokje kaas en een goed glas bier. En soms… twee trappisten in één glas.
Westmalle Duo brengt het beste van twee werelden samen: de fruitige volmondigheid van de Tripel en de zachte frisheid van de Extra. Fris, rijk en perfect in balans – maar nóg beter in goed gezelschap.
Dus: wie is de tweede helft van jouw duo? Tag de vriend(in), broer, collega of buur die altijd klaarstaat om een trappist met jou te drinken en laat hen weten dat het weer eens tijd is om bij te praten. Westmalle Duo is maar tijdelijk beschikbaar, dus mis hem niet!
