TIckets Open Brouwerijdagen

Want tickets for the Open Brewery Days? Here’s how to get them.

If you tried to join us last year, you already know: tickets for the Westmalle Open Brewery Days are in high demand. Very high. Much faster than we ever expected, every single spot was taken. And so, the question is already popping up: “How can I make sure I get tickets this year?”

To be honest? We can’t guarantee anything — space is limited, after all. But with a few smart moves and a bit of preparation, you’ll definitely increase your chances. Ready to take action? Great. Let’s get started.

To make things easy, we’ve split this blog post into three sections:

  1. Preparation is key – what you can already do today to get a head start

  2. The day tickets go on sale – what to keep in mind as the clock ticks toward 10:00 a.m.

  3. After the sale – what to do if you got tickets, or if you didn’t

Preparation is key

Good prep makes a big difference — really. These tips will give you a serious edge over the rest.

Stay in the loop

Make sure you don’t miss any important updates. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news and real-time updates on the day of the sale. That way, you’ll be the first to know if anything changes or if there are technical issues.

Think ahead: when do you want to visit?

The Open Brewery Days work with time slots: from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a new group starting every 15 minutes. That gives you 27 possible start times to choose from.

Want to increase your odds? Skip the peak hours (like 10:00 or 14:00), and go for an earlier or less obvious time — like 9:45 or 13:15. Fewer people will be going for those, which plays in your favour.

Check your Ticketmaster account

You need an account to buy tickets. Already have one? Make sure to log in beforehand and check that your info is still up to date — email, password, phone number… all good? Perfect.

Don’t have an account yet? Now’s the time to make one at ticketmaster.be. It only takes a few minutes — and it’ll save you stress when it counts.

In short: the better prepared you are, the better your chances of a smooth and successful ticket run. That’s it for the prep — now let’s talk about sale day.

The day tickets go on sale

Here we go. It’s the big day — exciting, right? Here’s how to make sure everything goes smoothly when the sale starts.

Be logged in before 10:00 a.m.

If you’re on the site before 10:00 a.m., you’ll likely be placed in a waiting room. This room opens when things get busy on the ticket page. Once the sale officially starts, you’ll be automatically moved from the waiting room to the actual queue.

Important: the waiting room and the queue are not the same! And it doesn’t matter whether you’re there at 7:00 a.m. or 9:55 a.m. — as long as you’re in the waiting room before the sale starts, everyone has the same chance.

But if you join after 10:00 a.m., you’ll be placed at the back of the queue — and by then, lots of tickets may already be gone.

So here’s what to do:

  • Be on the ticket page a few minutes early.

  • Make sure you’re logged into your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. Sometimes there’s an extra security check with a one-time code via SMS or email — so keep your phone close by.

One device, one window, one tab

Stick to one device (laptop, phone, tablet…) and use only one browser window with one tab open. Opening multiple tabs or devices might seem clever, but it can cause problems. In the worst-case scenario, Ticketmaster could flag you as a bot and kick you out of the queue.

Don’t refresh!

It’s tempting to hit F5 if it feels like nothing’s happening — but don’t do it!
As long as you see the queue screen, you’re fine. If you refresh, you’ll lose your spot and get sent to the back of the line. So stay calm and let the system move you forward.

Make sure your internet is stable

A short blip in your connection? That could push you out of the queue. Make sure you’ve got a reliable wifi signal, use a network cable, or switch to mobile data if needed. Avoid public wifi and disable any VPNs — Ticketmaster uses unique IP addresses to spot bots.

After the sale: what now?

Got your tickets?

Great news! You’ll get a confirmation email right away — but your actual ticket will only become available a few weeks before the event. So don’t worry if you don’t see it immediately.

Once it’s ready, make sure to download the Ticketmaster app and log into your account. You’ll find your ticket under ‘My Tickets’ — we’ll simply scan it at the entrance.

Can’t make it after all?

Plans change — we get it. Once the tickets are released, you can resell them yourself via Ticketmaster.

Didn’t get a ticket?

We know, it’s super frustrating. But please don’t buy tickets secondhand without checking — some of them are unofficial, overpriced, or even fake.

Still want to look for one? First check for resell tickets on the Ticketmaster website to make sure it’s a real ticket.
