The monks regularly retire to a quiet place or their cells for the Lectio Divina, in order to personally read, study and consider the Scriptures. All reading that is conducive to a life of prayer, and which increases the love of God and people, can be considered.
They have a well stocked library available to them. The library can be viewed as a great commentary on the One Book: the Bible. Everything that is written can be considered to be an explanation of the Scriptures. Every book symbolises the One Book!
The monks take the Word of God in their hearts in order to consider it and to meditate. It becomes a seed in them that converts them and makes them realise what that Word is saying.
